Release Notes
A chronological record of new features, improvements, and fixes shipped to Clarion.
v2.7June 9, 2026
AI Credits & Membership
NewAI credits. Clarion’s generative features now run on a monthly credit balance. Everyday work and the background AI that keeps your workspace organized stay free.
NewEvery plan includes a monthly credit allowance that refreshes each cycle. The free Starter tier covers about 5 PRDs and 1 machine spec; paid plans scale with your plan and seats. Need more before your next refresh? Buy a top-up anytime.
NewOn team plans, admins choose how credits are shared across the team, with usage visibility, in Settings → AI Credits.
NewA live credit indicator in the top bar shows your balance, this cycle’s usage, and your renewal date.
NewFlexible billing. Let your plan auto-renew, or choose “Pay once” for a single month or year. Your plan stays active for exactly the period you paid for.
ImprovedRunning out of credits only pauses AI generation. The rest of your workspace keeps working normally.
v2.6June 5, 2026
Integrations & Tech-Stack Awareness
NewSix new integrations — Notion, Confluence, and Google Drive bring your strategy docs, ADRs, goals, and personas into Clarion; PostHog feeds behavioral analytics into persona sizing and feature adoption; Stripe auto-populates account ARR from live subscriptions; and Asana adds two-way task tracking.
NewAutomatic tech-stack detection — Clarion learns your stack (frameworks, languages, databases, conventions) from your repo via the CLI or a connected GitHub, GitLab, or Bitbucket repository, then generates stack-correct PRDs and specs.
NewCodebase context — point your coding agent at your repo and Clarion captures your real conventions, architecture, and reusable modules, so generated specs match how your team actually builds.
NewPR ↔ issue linking — pull requests that reference a Linear or Jira issue (e.g. “feat(ACME-123): …”) auto-link to that issue and surface on the related spec and shipped feature, completing the issue → PR → feature traceability chain.
ImprovedConnected git hosts keep your detected stack fresh automatically — on every push to your default branch and via a daily reconciliation sweep.
v2.5May 30, 2026
Scope Drift Detection
NewScope drift detection — Clarion watches approved specs and flags when their problem, target users, solution, or scope drift from what the team originally committed to.
NewProactive validation for coding agents — agents can check an approach before writing code, and Clarion flags conflicts with past decisions (“conflicts with the Q1 decision against real-time collaboration”) alongside any spec drift.
NewAlignment tab on every spec — per-axis drift scores with confidence bands, a 30-day trend, and evidence showing exactly what changed.
NewFatigue-aware alerts — INFO, WARNING, HIGH, and CRITICAL tiers with hysteresis so a quickly-reverted edit never pings you; CRITICAL drift notifies the spec owner via Slack and email.
NewResolve drift your way — acknowledge it, mark a false positive, accept the change (re-baseline), or revert; non-owner requests route through approval.
ImprovedDrift sensitivity auto-tunes per team from your real resolutions, so alerts get more accurate over time.
v2.4May 27, 2026
Smart Chat & Pipeline
NewPipeline view — a one-glance flow of everything moving through the system (Discovery → Definition → Build → Shipped → Outcomes) on the dashboard and executive view, with throughput trends and ship-date forecasts.
NewIntelligent chat — the assistant now recognizes intent. Ask it to draft a PRD or document and it walks you through a guided flow; say “we decided X” or “we’re targeting $5M ARR” and it offers to log the decision or goal; ask to find or open something and it takes you there.
NewContext-aware prompts — chat suggests relevant questions based on the page you’re on, whether that’s a spec, an opportunity, or the signal feed.
New@-mentions in chat — reference any specific entity (spec, decision, persona, goal, competitor, customer, and more) to pull it into the conversation.
NewFile & image attachments — drag a PDF, Word doc, or screenshot into chat and ask questions about it. Save attachments to your library or keep them to the conversation.
NewRegenerate responses for an alternate take, and search your full conversation history by title or message content.
NewOnboarding “review your context” step — new teams see their auto-extracted personas, decisions, goals, and features within minutes of connecting a source.
ImprovedLong conversations auto-compact older history so chat keeps working as it grows, with a context gauge showing usage at a glance.
v2.3May 18, 2026
Goals, Personas, Documents & Action Items
NewGoals — track strategic objectives and OKRs with hierarchy, progress rollups, and supersession, auto-linked to the opportunities, specs, features, and decisions that advance them.

NewDocuments & Folders — lightweight markdown docs (strategy notes, ADRs, RFCs, research) with a rich editor, drag-and-drop organization, PDF/Word upload with text extraction, AI formatting, and one-click promotion to a full Spec.
NewAction Items — commitments captured from meetings, Slack, and manual entry, with due dates, assignees, and automatic close when the linked PR merges or ticket completes.
ImprovedGoals, personas, documents, and action items are all searchable in chat and feed “What to Build?” recommendations.

NewDecisions are now first-class — a searchable registry of “what we decided and why,” with categories, status (active, reversed, superseded), and full provenance.
NewCapture decisions anywhere — from Slack with
/decide, from your coding agent via MCP, from chat (“let’s go with Postgres”), or manually.NewAuto-linked decisions connect to the opportunities and specs they relate to, and surface on those detail pages.
NewLifecycle decisions — approvals, ships, and opportunity calls automatically record a decision for the archaeology, shown on the relevant entity even when hidden from the main registry.
ImprovedDecisions are cited in chat and inform recommendations.
v2.1May 13, 2026
Meetings & Slack Ingestion
NewSlack inbound — pull customer feedback and decisions from opted-in channels. Standup banter and noise are filtered out automatically before anything is processed.

NewMeetings hub — browse and search transcripts, jump to specific moments, and see exactly what each meeting produced (signals, decisions, action items) with customer attribution.
NewAsk chat about meetings — “what did the team discuss about checkout last week?” returns cited Slack threads and meeting passages.
NewPrivacy-first controls — per-channel opt-in, sensitive-attendee exclusion, encrypted transcripts at rest, and one-click right-to-delete with a full cascade.
